How to Steam Cauliflower in the Microwave
1. Steam cauliflower in microwave on high for 4-5 minutes or until tender, or until you like it.
2. Drain the water out of the cauliflower in your microwave and add it to the microwave bowl or deep dish with water. Stir to coat it in the water and then cover the bowl. Microwave on high for 4-5 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the cauliflower is tender.
3. If it is still a little firmer, add a little more water and stir to coat it in the water.
4. Carefully remove from the microwave and let sit for a few minutes to cool down.

Note: A note on the extra cauliflower rice: If you’re using canned or frozen diced green beans, add 1/2 cup diced green beans or 1/2 cup frozen diced green beans to the rice and heat it through.

Remove from the oven and serve with a drizzle of the sauce (or white sauce) and a dollop of melted butter.
